Diogo joined us back in September, he brings a sharp eye for detail and a passion for blending graphic and web design to support the Studio’s projects.
We caught up with Diogo to find out more:
Tell us a bit about yourself. What led you to pursue a career in design?
From a young age, I was drawn to art, design, elegance, and colour. Having an older sister who is a graphic designer only fuelled my curiosity further.
At university, I initially focused on web design, but my love for graphic design led me to take additional courses to expand my skill set. Along the way, I explored photography and video editing. Now, at Maxwell Rogers, I’ve added presentation design to my creative toolkit. The opportunity to continuously learn and evolve is what makes this field so exciting for me.
Looking back at your first three months, what three words would you use to describe Maxwell Rogers?
Excellence. Problem-solving. Supportive.
What would you say is the best thing about your job?
The best part of my job is the opportunity to combine both web and graphic design every day.
What industry trends currently impact your day-to-day?
New PowerPoint tools have had the biggest impact on my workflow. Since PowerPoint is a core part of my design work, any new features that enhance its capabilities are always welcome.
Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself, that your colleagues might not know.
I’ve been playing music since I was young, I’m a certified diver, and I’m also a regular blood donor.
When you’re in charge of the office music, what is your go-to playlist?
I don’t usually get DJ duties in the office, but if I did, you’d be hearing a mix of rock, blues, and house – something to keep the energy high and the creative vibes flowing!
If you weren’t a designer, what would be your dream job?
Either a professional diver, a biologist, or a musician.
